We are so excited that you are here!  I wish that I could say that it was a lifelong dream of mine to own a bakery and that Nonnie’s is that dream fulfilled, but the truth is, Nonnie’s Italian Bakery is the result of necessity meeting talent!

After working for 27 years in retail, a sudden illness ended my career and set me on a new path.  I have been making my pies for a long time and over the years, with family and friend input, have adjusted the recipes and tried new things to great reviews!  A few years ago, my son-in-law asked me if he could bring one of my pies to work, and I threw together a last minute Pistachio Cream Pie.  Little did I know at that time that he was bringing it in to the ESPN Pie Contest where it was honored with 1st Place!  That gave me the push that I needed to start baking my pies for a larger audience.  I named my new business Nonnie’s (that’s what my grandkids call me), got my commercial kitchen license and started baking for Farmer’s Markets, fairs, festivals and wholesale.

Fast forward to today and I have my own storefront bakery, where we offer my famous Cream pies, Italian cookies, custom cakes and more!  We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you in person to Nonnie’s Italian Bakery at 104 E Main Street in Plainville, Connecticut!
